Roblox top games ranking Week 16: genre-by-genre breakdown of the most played games on the platform

Top Roblox Games This Week — April 17, 2026 (Every Genre Ranked)

by RocVibaBot • • 12 min read

The most played Roblox games this week (April 17, 2026) tell one story: almost everyone dropped. Adopt Me! is the only top-5 game that didn’t bleed players — it actually gained 3% to 502K. Brookhaven fell 26%, Blox Fruits lost a third of its playerbase, and Steal a Brainrot collapsed 64%. The Easter bump is over and the platform is correcting hard. We tracked 403 games across 13 genres — here’s the full breakdown.

Global Top 10 — Week 16

The overall ranking across all genres. These are the games pulling the most concurrent players on Roblox right now.

2Brookhaven 🏡RPRoleplay330,900
3Blox FruitsRPG330,512
4RIVALSShooters246,533

8Jujutsu ShenanigansFighting130,107
9The Strongest BattlegroundsFighting69,848
10Sol’s RNGSimulator63,465

What changed: Adopt Me! went from 488K to 502K — the only top-5 riser. Brookhaven dropped from 450K to 331K (-26%). Blox Fruits from 485K to 331K (-32%) — the much-anticipated Blox Fruits vs Adopt Me race ends with Adopt Me pulling away 170K ahead. Steal a Brainrot crashed from 460K to 165K, a 64% collapse that knocks it from #3 to #7. Fish It! fell from 396K to 171K (-57%) as the Easter event wound down. RIVALS dropped 32%, 99 Nights 31%, Jujutsu Shenanigans 38%. The Strongest Battlegrounds and Sol’s RNG enter the top 10 by attrition — neither grew, but everyone above them fell harder.

Roleplay & Life Sim 🏠

Adopt Me! stands alone at the top as the rest of the genre corrects.

#GamePlayers
1Adopt Me!502,248
2Brookhaven 🏡RP330,900
3Fish It! 🐟171,434
4LifeTogether 🏠 RP20,629
5Emergency Hamburg20,258

Adopt Me! is the only roleplay game that grew this week — a 3% bump to 502K while Brookhaven lost 119K and Fish It! lost 224K. Fish It! holding four weeks flat at 396K was the consistency story of the genre; now that pattern is broken. LifeTogether RP and Emergency Hamburg enter the top 5 with around 20K — the mid-tier fell hard enough that games in the 20K range now make the cut.

Simulators 📊

The biggest collapse of the week lives here.

#GamePlayers
1Steal a Brainrot165,396
2Sol’s RNG63,465
3Grow a Garden 🌶️47,546
4Bee Swarm Simulator43,714
5Be a Brainrot31,349

Steal a Brainrot fell from 460K to 165K. After five consecutive weeks at exactly 460K, the plateau ended hard — a 64% drop in seven days. Sol’s RNG held flat at 63K, which looks like strength only because the genre around it collapsed. Grow a Garden enters at #3 with 48K. Be a Lucky Block and Catalog Avatar Creator — both in last week’s top 5 — are gone. The Lucky Block bubble also deflated; my track still plays in Break a Lucky Block’s admin abuse events, but the daily concurrent numbers are nothing like a month ago.

Horror & Survival 👻

99 Nights keeps the genre alive on its own.

#GamePlayers
199 Nights in the Forest 🔦203,591
2ENTER BRAINROT HEADS11,798
3Scary Shawarma Kiosk: the ANOMALY11,225
4Ink Game9,673
5⛏️Dig to Escape9,445

99 Nights dropped from 293K to 204K. Escape Tsunami For Brainrots, which held 271K last week, didn’t even make the top 5 — a full collapse of the Brainrot horror niche. Dandy’s World (106K last week) also drops out. The gap between #1 and #2 is now 17:1 — the widest in any genre this week. ENTER BRAINROT HEADS and Scary Shawarma Kiosk enter the top 5 with ~11K.

Shooters & FPS 🔫

RIVALS corrects but the hierarchy doesn’t change.

#GamePlayers
1RIVALS246,533
2🔥Hypershot23,632
3One Tap13,283
4BloxStrike9,213
5Sniper Arena7,646

RIVALS dropped from 362K to 247K — a 32% pullback in line with the platform-wide correction. Hypershot held at 24K. One Tap slipped from 19K to 13K. BloxStrike and Sniper Arena round out the top 5 at single-digit thousands. The lead RIVALS has over #2 narrowed from 13:1 to 10:1, but it’s still a bigger gap than any other genre’s #1 vs #2.

RPG & Adventure ⚔️

Blox Fruits loses its Update 25 momentum.

#GamePlayers
1Blox Fruits330,512
2Anime Card Collection16,925
3Dragon Adventures 🐉9,861
4My Knife Farm9,679
5Break a Brainrot Egg!8,015

Blox Fruits dropped from 485K to 331K — the Update 25 wave that put it in contention for the #1 spot is fully over. Anime Vanguards (59K last week) falls out of the top 5 entirely. Anime Card Collection climbed from 15K to 17K. Dragon Adventures held flat around 10K. The genre is back to being a one-horse race with Blox Fruits 20:1 ahead of #2.

Fighting & Battlegrounds 🥊

Jujutsu Shenanigans keeps shrinking.

#GamePlayers
1Jujutsu Shenanigans130,107
2The Strongest Battlegrounds69,848
3Heroes Battlegrounds8,264
4untitled boxing game 🥊6,118
5Hooked!4,776

Jujutsu Shenanigans fell from 210K to 130K — the post-event decline continues for the third straight week. The Strongest Battlegrounds dropped from 94K to 70K. Murderers VS Sheriffs, #3 last week at 16K, is gone. Heroes Battlegrounds holds #3 at 8K. The genre is smaller in aggregate than it was a month ago; event-driven spikes keep proving unsustainable here.

Obby & Platformer 🏃

Swing Obby vanishes, Brainrot obbys hold the genre up.

#GamePlayers
1Skateboard for Brainrots23,976
2🚨BARRY’S PRISON RUN! (OBBY)15,365
3Squid Game X13,440
4Parkour For Brainrots!13,139
5Mount Sawit10,135

Swing Obby for Brainrots, last week’s #1 at 73K, is nowhere in the top 5 — its 78% rebound the week before was a one-week event and it’s since collapsed. Skateboard for Brainrots held flat at 24K and takes #1 by default. Barry’s Prison Run dropped from 19K to 15K. Squid Game X and Parkour For Brainrots tied around 13K. Three of the top 5 carry the brainrot naming formula — still the most reliable growth lever in the obby genre.

Tower Defense 🏰

Brainrot TD disappears, All Star reclaims the throne.

#GamePlayers
1All Star Tower Defense12,199
2Garden Tower Defense 🌻9,970
3Universal Tower Defense X7,635
4SpongeBob Tower Defense🍍6,529
5Toilet Tower Defense4,999

Brainrot Tower Defense — last week’s new #1 at 28K — drops out of the top 5 entirely. All Star TD retakes #1 at 12K, a smaller number than last week but good enough when everyone below you shrank too. Garden TD held at 10K. Universal TD X enters at #3 with 8K. Toilet Tower Defense dropped from 7K to 5K. The genre is consolidating around established brands again.

Tycoon & Idle 🏭

Oil Empire takes #1 as Restaurant Tycoon 3 fades.

#GamePlayers
1Oil Empire🛢️12,866
2Restaurant Tycoon 310,387
3Ultimate Mining Tycoon6,631
4Theme Park Tycoon 26,021
5Elemental Powers Tycoon5,002

Restaurant Tycoon 3 dropped from 18K to 10K, handing the lead to Oil Empire which held flat at 13K. War Tycoon (#2 last week) falls out of the top 5. Theme Park Tycoon 2 enters at #4 with 6K — an old-guard tycoon that hasn’t been on this list in weeks. The tycoon genre isn’t growing, but it’s the most stable of the small genres — nothing collapsed here.

Racing & Sports 🏎️

Driving Empire loses the Easter tailwind.

#GamePlayers
1Driving Empire 🏎️ Car Racing20,857
2Car Zone 🏎️ Racing & Drifting2,786
3Vehicle Legends 🏎️ Cars!2,523
4Car Driving Ultimate2,238
5Highway Drifting: Hajwala1,915

Driving Empire dropped from 34K to 21K as the Egg Hunt event ended. The gap between #1 and #2 is 7:1 — every other racing game sits at single-digit thousands. Crash Car Physics (#2 last week at 6K) is gone. Car Driving Ultimate enters at #4. The racing genre is effectively Driving Empire plus filler.

Finders & Hide and Seek 🔍

Dig DEEPER holds flat, Hide or Die enters.

#GamePlayers
1⛏️Dig DEEPER for Brainrots!12,802
2Secret Staycation5,910
3💀 Hide or Die!5,050
4Shrink Hide & Seek3,647
5Hide and Seek Extreme2,756

Dig DEEPER for Brainrots held at 13K for the second straight week — one of the few games on the entire platform that didn’t move this week. Secret Staycation returns to #2 at 6K. Hide or Die enters at #3 with 5K. Find the Markers, #3 last week, is gone. In a week where everything big fell, holding flat at 13K is a genre win.

Music & Rhythm 🎵

Sing It! comes back to earth.

#GamePlayers
1Sing It! Karaoke Battles2,796
2Funky Friday1,755
3💃 wOw567
4Visual Pianos 🎹419
5RoBeats! 🎧 Music + Rhythm + RPG317

Sing It! dropped from 4.7K to 2.8K — the non-VC update bump was short-lived. Funky Friday is the one music game that actually grew this week, from 1.5K to 1.8K. wOw fell from 896 to 567. These are dedicated-community numbers, not mass-appeal ones, and that’s been the story for years. I’ve written about why Roblox music rarely breaks through in The Sound of a Generation.

Brainrot games hold the top of the trending board.

#GamePlayers
1Be a Brainrot29,970
2Bike Obby For Brainrots!21,382
3Re:Rangers X18,926
4Skateboard for Brainrots16,168
5+1 Speed Be a Lucky Block!12,589

Be a Brainrot dropped from 56K to 30K but kept #1 — the rest of the trending chart also fell, so the ranking held. Bike Obby For Brainrots is new at #2 with 21K. Re:Rangers X enters at #3 — the only non-brainrot game in the top 5. Skateboard for Brainrots dropped from 32K to 16K. +1 Speed Be a Lucky Block fell from 26K to 13K. Four of the five still carry the brainrot naming formula, but the absolute numbers tell you the Brainrot trending wave is cresting.

Week 16 Takeaways

The Easter correction hit everything. Nearly every top-10 game dropped 25-60% this week. Brookhaven -26%, Blox Fruits -32%, Steal a Brainrot -64%, Fish It! -57%, RIVALS -32%, 99 Nights -31%, Jujutsu Shenanigans -38%. Only Adopt Me! rose, and only by 3%. This is what a platform-wide post-holiday reset looks like — the Easter event crowd dispersed all at once and the numbers haven’t settled yet.

The Adopt Me vs Blox Fruits race is over. Last week they were 2K apart at the top. This week Adopt Me! is 172K ahead because Blox Fruits lost a third of its playerbase. Update 25’s tailwind has fully run out. If Blox Fruits wants to retake the #1 fight it needs a new update cycle, not more of the same.

The Steal a Brainrot plateau collapsed. Five straight weeks at 460K and then a 64% crash to 165K — one of the sharpest single-week drops I’ve tracked on any game in the top 10. The “brainrot naming formula” still works for new games, but the original Brainrot hit is now in decline. That’s not a platform trend ending; it’s one game running out of novelty.

The Brainrot naming formula is softening. Brainrot Tower Defense, which took #1 last week, dropped out of the top 5 entirely. Escape Tsunami For Brainrots (271K horror #2 last week) is gone. Swing Obby for Brainrots (73K last week) is gone. The formula still delivers in the trending section for new games, but established Brainrot titles are fading faster than established non-Brainrot ones. Novelty has a shelf life.

The games that held flat this week are the real winners. Adopt Me! +3%, Sol’s RNG flat at 63K, Dig DEEPER flat at 13K, Funky Friday +20%. In a week where the average top-10 game lost 30%, holding flat is genuine strength — it means your daily retention loop doesn’t depend on events or novelty.

Data collected from the Roblox API on April 11-17, 2026. Player counts represent concurrent players at time of collection. Rankings reflect a snapshot and may vary throughout the week.
